Learn how reservation expiry dates work in Box+Dice, what changes when the date is reached, and how expired dates are visually indicated.

This article covers:

About reservation expiry

Reservation expiry dates in Box+Dice act as a visual indicator only. When an expiry date is reached, the reservation does not automatically change status and the listing remains reserved for the contact.

This design ensures reservations are not removed without user action while still highlighting expired dates for review.

What happens when a reservation expires

When the reservation expiry date passes:

  • The reservation remains active
  • The project listing stays reserved for the contact
  • The expiry date is displayed in red text

No automatic status change occurs.

Expiry date colour changes

The expiry date colour reflects the reservation state:

  • Red text - The expiry date has passed and the reservation is still active
  • Normal text colour - The reservation is active and within the set date range

If the reservation is cancelled, the date colour returns to normal.

Tip: You can set up auto alerts to receive notifications when reservation statuses change. Auto alerts help ensure expired reservation dates are reviewed promptly.
