About projects

Projects are used to group related properties, such as units or apartments within a development, under a single structure. This makes it easier to manage listings, reporting, and project‑based workflows in the database.

Creating a project ensures properties can be linked correctly, supports project listings, and allows enquiries and data to flow as expected from connected portals.

Projects can be created either before adding properties or during property creation, depending on how far along setup is.

Create a project from settings

This option provides the most complete setup and is recommended whenever possible.

To add a project:

  • Go to: Settings > Properties > Buildings/Projects
  • Enter the project name
  • (Optional) Enter the Project ID
  • (Optional) Enter the Master listing ID

  • Click + Add

The project is created and ready for properties to be added.

About project IDs

  • Project ID - A unique identifier assigned by REA when a project profile is created through Agent Admin. This ID is required to receive web enquiries for the project from REA
  • Master listing ID - Used internally and also required to receive web enquiries from REA. This ID is taken from the master project listing used for portal uploads

To find the master listing ID:

  • Open the master project listing in Box+Dice
  • Copy the digits at the end of the listing URL

  • Paste the value into the Master listing ID field under Settings > Properties > Buildings/Projects

Create a project while adding a property

Use this option if you forgot to create the project before adding properties.

To add a project:

  • Go to: Properties
  • Click + Add
  • In the Is this part of a building project field, type the project name
  • Select Create new building/project if it does not already exist

  • Continue creating the property

The project will be created automatically and linked to the property.
