About auto alerts in the Notification Centre

Auto alerts notify users when specific actions or changes occur in Box+Dice, such as updates to buyers, properties, or transactions.

Auto alerts now appear in the Notification Centre, making them visible inside Box+Dice rather than being delivered only by email or SMS. This provides in‑app visibility of important updates, even for users who do not manage the alert themselves.

This helps reduce inbox clutter, minimise missed alerts, and give recipients more flexibility in how they stay informed, without affecting how an Admin configures the auto alert.


How auto alert delivery works

Delivery options are available depending on how the auto alert is configured and your role permissions.

Auto alerts can be delivered using one or more of the following options:

  • Notification + email
  • Notification + SMS
  • In‑app notification only

When an auto alert is triggered, it appears in the Notification Centre based on the selected delivery option.


View auto alerts in the Notification Centre

The Notification Centre displays auto alerts alongside other notifications, such as reminders and system messages.

To view auto alerts:

  • Select the bell icon in the left‑hand navigation
  • Select Alerts
  • Review alerts listed under Alerts
  • Select an alert to view more details

Auto alerts remain accessible in the Notification Centre even if email delivery is turned off.

Note: Users who receive auto alert emails but do not manage the alert can choose to stop email delivery using the link provided in the email. When email delivery is stopped, the auto alert continues to be delivered as an in‑app notification in Box+Dice.

Manage notification preferences for auto alerts

Some notification preferences can be adjusted directly from the Notification Centre.

To review notification preferences:

  • Open the Notification Centre
  • Select the settings icon
  • Review available delivery options under Auto alert and other notification type
  • Select Save to apply changes
Note: Admin‑managed auto alert rules cannot be edited by standard users, but delivery preferences can still be configured.
