About strict inspections
Strict inspections control whether listings that are under offer are visible on the Inspections screen.
By default, only current listings are shown. This prevents inspections from being accidentally created for listings that already have a nominated purchaser.
Some offices continue to hold open homes while a sale is conditional. In these cases, disabling strict inspections allows conditional listings to appear so inspections can still be advertised and managed.
What happens when strict inspections are enabled
When strict inspections are enabled, agents cannot create inspections for listings that have a nominated purchaser.
- Listings under offer are hidden from the Inspections screen
- Inspections cannot be added even if no 'actual unconditional date' is set under 'Critical dates'
- This helps reduce the risk of inspections being scheduled unintentionally
Change the strict inspections setting
If your office needs to create or manage inspections for listings that are under offer, you can disable strict inspections. This allows conditional listings to appear on the Inspections screen so inspections can continue until a sale becomes unconditional.
To disable strict inspections:
- Go to: Settings > Listings > Strict inspections
- Tick No
When strict inspections are disabled, conditional listings appear on the Inspections screen and inspections can be created for listings under offer until an actual unconditional date is set.
