Summary

Learn how to identify and resolve Domain upload errors and warnings. Domain may return validation messages when listing information does not meet its publishing requirements.

This article covers:

About Domain upload errors

When Domain detects an issue with information received from Box+Dice, it returns an error or warning message to the Portal Uploader.

You can view the details of the issue by hovering over the warning icon displayed within the Portal Uploader.

Domain provides both a severity level and a message describing the issue that was identified.

A severity level of Warning generally indicates that the upload was successful, however some listing information may be suppressed until the issue is corrected.

Reviewing and resolving warnings helps ensure your listing information is displayed correctly on Domain.

Resolve price range errors

One common validation message returned by Domain is:

"Price range over 10 percent, update price range to ..."

This message indicates that the difference between the Search From and Search To price values exceeds Domain's permitted 10% variance for online advertising.

To resolve this issue, reduce the price range and re-upload the listing.

For example:

  • 10% of $500,000 is $50,000
  • An acceptable range would be $500,000 to $550,000
  • A range of $500,000 to $600,000 exceeds the permitted variance and will not be accepted by Domain

Ensure the difference between the Search From and Search To values does not exceed 10% of the lower price amount.
