About shared database settings
Some system settings in Box+Dice apply to all offices and groups within the centralised database. These settings impact the overall structure and functionality of the system. Changes made here will affect all users across every office group.
Key shared settings include:
- General > Access - Controls login permissions and user access
- Automations > E-Alert Setup - Shared email alert templates; the ‘Sender’ field uses the company name Additionally, this can be configured to confine the scope to individual office groups, and separate default senders for each
- General > Company Information - Company-wide settings such as name, contact information, and branding
- Territories - Shared across the database for prospecting and marketing
- Staff > Expense Items - Global expense tracking categories
- Listings - Listing categories, configurations, and statuses
- Blast Email Templates - Used by all offices across the database by default, but can be scoped to individual offices if needed
These shared settings help ensure uniformity across all offices, providing consistency in how data is managed, reported, and interacted with throughout the business.
About office group settings
Certain settings are unique to each office group. Adjusting these will only affect the office group you’re working in, without impacting others in the database.
Key office group specific settings:
- CRM > Set Up Categories - Categories for organising contacts
- CRM > Sources - Source tracking for lead attribution
- CRM > Task Templates > Company - Internal task and process templates
These settings allow each office group to tailor the platform’s functionality to their specific needs, without affecting other groups in the database.
