Overview
Commission discrepancies, such as commissions appearing as pending when they should be payable, or vice versa—can occur due to incorrect filters or sale detail dates in Box+Dice. These issues affect payroll accuracy and must be resolved to ensure agents are paid correctly and on time. Understanding how filters and dates interact helps users troubleshoot and prevent these errors.
The commission filters determine which commissions will appear on the statement, in conjunction with certain dates in the Sale Details of each listing. A tooltip for each option is available to explain their function, but in summary these are the dates that will trigger a commission to be pulled through as payable.
Commission appears as pending instead of payable
If a commission shows as Pending when it should be Payable:
- Check the commission filter settings
- Go to: Accounting > Payroll
- Select relevant statement
- Select the correct commission filter to Trust Funds Released
- Ensure the relevant date fields are completed in the Sale Details of the listing
- If a draft statement was previously saved, clear it and save a new draft to refresh the data
Commission appears as payable instead of pending
If a commission shows as Payable when it should still be Pending, check the following:
- Using the Day of Sale filter will pull commissions for all sold listings, including conditional sales
- Ensure the correct date is entered in the Sale Details of the listing (e.g., Expected Settlement Date instead of Actual Settlement Date)
- Edit the sale details and remove the trigger date if needed. This will ensure the commission appears as Payable in the next statement period
- If a draft statement exists, clear it and save a new draft so it reflects the latest information
