If two contacts are no longer related, you can remove the relationship without deleting the contact records themselves. This ensures your data stays accurate and up to date.
Delete a contact relationship
To remove a relationship between two contacts:
- Go to: Contacts in the sidebar
- Navigate to one of the contacts in the relationship
- On the right-hand side, under Relationships, click the pencil (edit) icon
- This opens the Manage Relationships window
- Click Delete
Tip: Review relationships before deleting to avoid losing important links.
The relationship between the two contacts will be removed.
Note: Deleting a relationship does not delete the contact record itself.
If you accidentally delete a relationship, you can recreate it.
