Summary

Learn how syncing Box+Dice appointments and contacts works on Android devices, and why Box+Dice cannot recommend or support CardDAV and CalDAV on Android.

Overview

Syncing your Box+Dice appointments and contacts to an Android device might be possible if you have an Android contact app that supports CardDAV/CalDAV.

However, the set‑up for a third‑party app is not something that Box+Dice Support can assist with or guide you through.

The reason Box+Dice can offer CardDAV / CalDAV sync to iOS users is that CardDAV / CalDAV functionality is built into every iOS device by default and comes standard with the iOS Contacts app. This is not the case with Android, as every manufacturer personalises the software and there are thousands of contact app options. Box+Dice can’t offer support for such variables.

The lack of predictability means that Box+Dice can’t recommend or support the use of CardDAV on non‑iOS devices.
