About QR code
The QR Code feature allows you to generate a unique QR code for a listing. This QR code can be used during property inspections to enable attendees to register their attendance electronically.
This process helps streamline attendee check-ins, automatically capture buyer information, and maintain accurate attendance records for compliance purposes.
Access the QR code
The QR code can be generated from within a listing using the Buyer Leads section.
- Navigate to a Listing > Buyer Leads > Reports
- Click Listing QR Code to download the QR code
The downloaded QR code can be printed and used at inspections.
How QR code check-in works
When an attendee scans the QR code, they are directed to a landing page where they can enter their details and register for the inspection.
- First name
- Last name
- Mobile number
- Email address
Once submitted, the system will:
- Display a confirmation (thank you) page for verification before entry
- Check if the attendee already exists as a contact
- Create a new contact if no existing match is found
- Add the contact as a Buyer Lead to the listing
- Check them into an existing inspection or create a private inspection if none exists
- Add the contact to the Contact Tracer report
- Send an automatic SMS confirmation (if enabled)
To enable automatic SMS notifications:
- Go to: Automations > Check-in SMS > Office
- Toggle on AUTOMATICALLY SEND MESSAGE WHEN BUYER REGISTERED VIA QR CODE
Contact tracer report
The Contact Tracer report is available from the same 'Buyer Leads' > 'Reports' menu within the listing.
To generate contact tracer report:
- Navigate to a Listing > Buyer Leads > Reports
- Click Contact Tracer
This report provides a record of all attendees who have registered via the QR code and can be supplied to authorities if required for compliance with government regulations and Covid-safe plans.
Notes:
Staff attending an inspection should also register using the QR code. If they use their Box+Dice staff email address, they will be included in the Contact Tracer report without creating a duplicate contact record.
If an attendee registers with matching first name, last name, and either email or mobile number, a new contact will not be created. If the submitted contact details differ, the existing record will not be updated, but a note will be added to the contact timeline.
