About passed in auction listings
When a property is passed in at auction, you can record the result using the Passed In Auction option. This allows the auction outcome to remain visible on the listing while continuing to market the property using another listing type, such as Private Sale.
The passed in status is stored separately from the listing type, allowing both pieces of information to be displayed on the listing.
Recording a property as passed in preserves the auction history and allows the listing to be updated for ongoing marketing and portal advertising.
Add a passed in status
To add a passed in status:
- Go to: Sales > Listings
- Click the Edit or Pencil icon next to Sales Listing
- Scroll to the Auction section
- Tick Passed in Auction to record that the property was passed in at auction
- Click Save
The passed in status will then be displayed on the Listing Information screen:
After recording the property as passed in, you can update the listing type to reflect how the property will continue to be marketed:
- Click the Edit or Pencil icon next to Sales Listing
- Update Listing Type as Private Sale
- Click Save
Once the passed in status and listing details have been updated, the listing is ready to be uploaded to property portals.
