About emails appearing in junk folders
If emails sent from Box+Dice are appearing in your junk folder, your email provider may not yet recognise these messages as trusted. This can occur when emails are sent on behalf of your domain and additional email authentication settings are required.
If you send a copy of an email to yourself from Box+Dice and it appears in your junk folder, the first thing to try is marking the email as Not junk or Safe within your email application. In some cases, this is enough for your email provider to recognise future emails as legitimate.
If emails continue to appear in your junk folder, your email server may be rejecting or questioning messages that are being sent on behalf of your domain.
When Box+Dice sends email communications, the messages are sent using your domain name. If your email server is not configured to trust those messages, it may treat them as potential spam and redirect them to the junk folder.
About SPF records
Box+Dice uses a third-party email delivery service called SendGrid to send emails on your behalf. This includes individual emails and large-scale email campaigns.
To help email servers recognise these emails as trusted, your domain can be configured with an SPF (Sender Policy Framework) record. An SPF record identifies which services are authorised to send emails on behalf of your domain.
If SendGrid is not included in your SPF record, emails may be more likely to appear in junk folders.
Your IT administrator can review your domain's SPF configuration and ensure it includes:
v=spf1 include:sendgrid.net ~all
