About system and record logs

System and record logs provide a history of activity within Box+Dice. They can help you review actions performed on records, investigate changes, and verify activity across different areas of the system.

You can access Record Logs from several locations throughout Box+Dice.

To access record logs:

  • Contact record - Select the contact, click More > Record Logs
  • Listing record - Select the listing, click the (...) menu option > Record Logs
  • Campaigns - Click the Campaigns tab and select Record Logs from the campaign toolbar
  • Listing Accounting - Click the Accounting tab, click the (...) menu option > Record Logs

The information available in a record log may vary depending on the type of record you are viewing and your security permissions.

View system logs

If you need to view activity across the entire system, you can access the system logs from the sidebar.

  • Go to: More > System Logs

The logs open in a separate browser window

System Logs open in a new window. Ensure pop-ups are enabled in your browser before accessing them.

Understand log entries

Each entry in the logs represents a change made within Box+Dice. Logs are created whenever information is added, edited, deleted, or updated.

Selecting a log entry expands the record and displays additional details, including:

  • The fields that were changed
  • The previous value of the field
  • The new value of the field
  • The date and time of the change
  • The person or process that performed the action

You can also select Filter Criteria to filter results or expand the date range being reviewed.

Some log entries may contain technical information. While most fields are named clearly, you may occasionally require assistance interpreting specific entries.

Approval and subscription logs

System logs also record specific workflow and reporting activities.

When an email blast is submitted for approval, the approval action is recorded in the system logs.

When an agent subscribes to a report, the subscription activity is also recorded in the system logs.

Record logs provide visibility into activity associated with a specific record, making them a useful tool when reviewing changes, confirming actions, or troubleshooting issues.
