About critical days

Critical days control how Box+Dice automatically calculates important dates throughout the sales process. These settings apply to:

• Expected deposit release date
• Cooling-off period
• Cheque clearance date
• Direct debit clearance date

These values are configured by default within your system and are used to automatically generate dates when processing sales and receipts.

Manage critical days

To update the default critical day settings for your agency:

• Go to: Settings > Sales > Critical Days
• Update the relevant values

• Click Save

Any changes made to your critical day settings will be reflected throughout the system. You can verify critical dates within the Sales Details and Accounting areas of Box+Dice.

About critical day types

• Expected Deposit Release Date - When you select 'Mark as Sold' from a listing, the system automatically calculates the expected deposit release date based on the number of days configured. For example, if the sale date is 18 October and the deposit release period is 28 days, the expected deposit release date will be 15 November
• Cooling-off Period - The system automatically calculates the expected unconditional date based on the sale date and the configured cooling-off period. For example, if the sale date is 16 October and the cooling-off period is 3 days, the expected unconditional date will be 19 October
• Cheque Clearance Date - When you record a receipt using the cheque payment type, the system automatically calculates the clearance date.
• Direct Debit Clearance Date - When you record a receipt using the direct debit payment type, the system automatically calculates the clearance date
