Summary

Learn how automated alerts now appear in the Notification Centre, giving you more control over how you receive important updates without relying only on email.

This article covers:

About Alerts in the Notification Centre

Box+Dice Automations can notify users when specific actions or changes occur, such as updates to buyers, properties, or transactions.

Automated notifications appear in the Notification Centre under the Alerts tab, making them visible inside Box+Dice rather than having your team rely on their email inbox. This provides in‑app visibility into important updates, even for users who do not manage alerts themselves.

This helps reduce inbox clutter, minimise missed alerts, and give recipients more flexibility in how they stay informed, without affecting how an Admin configures the auto alert.

How automated alert delivery works

Delivery options are available depending on how the automated alert is configured and your role permissions.

Alert notifications can be delivered using one or more of the following options:

  • Notification + email
  • Notification + SMS
  • In‑app notification only

When an automation is triggered, the notification will appear as unread in the Notification Centre based on the selected delivery option.

View automated alerts in the Notification Centre

The Notification Centre displays auto alerts alongside other notifications, such as reminders and system messages.

To view your notification alerts:

  • Select the bell icon in the left‑hand navigation
  • Select Alerts
  • Review alerts listed under Alerts
  • Select an alert to view more details

Auto alerts remain accessible in the Notification Centre even if email delivery is turned off.

Note: Users who receive automation notification emails, but do not have permission to manage automation, can choose to stop email delivery using the link provided at the bottom of the notification email. When email delivery is stopped, the auto alert continues to be delivered as an in‑app notification in the Box+Dice Notification Centre.

Manage notification preferences for automated alerts

Some notification preferences can be adjusted directly from the Notification Centre.

To review notification preferences:

  • Open the Notification Centre
  • Select the settings icon
  • Review available delivery options under Auto alert and other notification types
  • Select Save to apply changes
Note: Admin‑managed auto alert rules cannot be edited by standard users, but delivery preferences can still be configured.

Unsubscribe from an automated Alert Email

If you receive an automated alert email that you no longer wish to receive, you can unsubscribe directly from the email without affecting the underlying automation configuration.

To unsubscribe from an automated alert email:

  • Open the automated alert email
  • Select the Unsubscribe link included in the email
Note: Some agencies may ask Box+Dice Support to mandate automated Alert emails for compliance-critical workflows. When this is enabled for your subdomain, the unsubscribe link is removed from Auto Alert emails, and users who previously unsubscribed may be automatically resubscribed.
  • Confirm your choice by selecting Yes, unsubscribe me

    .

Once confirmed:

  • Email delivery for that specific auto-alert has been stopped for your user account.
  • The auto alert remains and will continue to appear as an in-app notification in Box+Dice.
  • Other auto alerts and notification emails are not affected.

View unsubscribed auto alerts

To review unsubscribed auto alerts:

  • Select the bell icon in the left-hand navigation
  • Select the settings icon
  • Locate the auto alert in the notification preferences list

Unsubscribed auto alerts display an Unsubscribed status along with the date the email delivery was stopped.

If the auto alert has been given a name by the administrator, the alert name will appear next to the unsubscribe status, making it easier to identify which alert has been disabled.

Resubscribe to an auto alert

If you want to start receiving email notifications again:

  • Open the Notification Centre
  • Select the settings icon
  • Locate the unsubscribed auto alert
  • Select Resubscribe
  • Click Save

Email delivery will resume for that specific auto alert.

Note: Unsubscribing from a automated notification email only affects that individual automation. It does not unsubscribe you from all Box+Dice emails or other auto alerts.
