About linked actions for communication tasks

Linked Actions help you complete Email, SMS and Phone tasks more efficiently by providing direct access to the relevant communication action from the task itself.

When you create an Email, SMS, or Phone task, Box+Dice automatically provides a linked action based on the selected task type. This allows you to send an email, send an SMS, or record a phone call outcome without navigating away from your task list.

You can also optionally link an Email or SMS template to the task. When a template is selected, the linked action opens using that template. If no template is selected, the action still opens so you can create the communication from scratch.

These linked actions reduce navigation, streamline task completion, and make it easier to manage communication activities directly from your tasks.

Create a communication task

To create an Email, SMS, or Phone task:

  • Go to: Tasks
  • Click + Add in the top-right corner
  • Select Email, SMS, or Phone as the task type
  • Select the contact
  • (Optional) Select an Email or SMS template
  • Click Save

The task displays a linked action button in the Actions column.

  • Select the linked action to begin the required activity

If you select an email template, the task is linked to that template. If you leave the template blank, you can prepare the email when you select Send Email.
