About dual property listings

Some portals allow a property to be listed under both commercial and residential categories so it appears in both types of searches.

However, in Box+Dice, a property can only be set as either residential or commercial at one time. This means alternative approaches are required if you want a listing to appear in both categories.

Option 1: Manage via portal (recommended)

This is the recommended approach for listing a property under both categories.

• Create the property and set it as either residential or commercial
• Create the listing in Box+Dice
• Upload the listing to the required portals
• Contact the portal directly to enable the second property category
• Alternatively, update the category using the portal’s admin tools (if available)
• Manage updates for the second category directly on the portal

Option 2: Create duplicate properties

You can create two separate properties for the same address, but this method is not recommended.

• Create two properties with the same address
• Set one as residential and the other as commercial
• Ensure duplicate properties are enabled in your system
• Create a listing for each property
• Upload both listings to your portals

Consider the following before using this method:

• Additional charges may apply if billing is per listing
• Portals may treat each listing separately and charge full listing fees
• Managing two listings increases administrative work

Option 3: Manage listings manually

This method involves managing listings outside of Box+Dice.

• Create the property and listing in Box+Dice
• Do not upload the listing to any portals
• Create listings manually on each portal using your Agent Admin account
• Manage all updates directly on the portals during the campaign
• Record the final sale and set the correct property type in Box+Dice
