About appraisals on the Agent app

Creating a complete appraisal record on mobile, using the Properties screen and the Create Appraisal form (incl. contacts, price range, source, consultants, office, expected commission, expected close date, and close likelihood).

The Agent App is designed to let you appraise, list, and sell on the go, with duplicate‑aware data entry and buyer/vendor workflows.

Create an appraisal

Create the appraisal from the Properties screen. If the address already exists, use it; otherwise add the property before you create the appraisal. The Agent App supports creating the property, then converting the appraisal to a listing later.

  • Open the Agent App and sign in
  • Go to: Properties > Tap the + (top right)
  • Enter the property address
  • If the duplicate checker flags an existing property, tap Tap to use it to avoid creating a duplicate
  • From the property, tap the menu (three dots top right) >  Select Create Appraisal
  • Complete the Appraisal form fields (see next sections), then tap Create (top right)
Tip: If you already know the likely sale method (e.g., Auction), set Listing Type now, as it helps downstream reporting and vendor communications.

Add contacts to the appraisal

Link owners (and any relevant vendor decision‑makers) to the appraisal so timelines and comms are tied to the right people.

  • In Contacts, tap Add contact…, search by name/phone/email
  • Select the contact (or Create contact) and set their role (owner/vendor)
  • Repeat for any additional stakeholders

Enter pricing and appointment details

Capture the price range and (optionally) create an appointment for the appraisal meeting, directly from the form.

  • Set Appraisal price from and Appraisal price to for the indicative range
  • Toggle Create Appointment if you want a calendar entry for the inspection/valuation
  • Choose Listing Type (e.g., Auction or Private Sale)
  • If Auction, set Proposed end date and Proposed auction time

Add source, consultants and office

Track appraisal source for reporting, assign one or more consultants, and confirm the office. These populate performance dashboards and commission routing.

  • Select an Appraisal Source (e.g., Past Buyer, Referral, Letterbox Drop, OFI conversation)
  • In Consultant 1, confirm the primary agent; add Consultant 2/3 if needed for team selling
  • Choose the Office handling the appraisal
Note: Multi‑consultant entries support team‑based selling and split commissions in B+D’s sales workflows. (Commission and payroll statements are native parts of B+D; admins manage this on the web.)

Forecast and commission fields

Use Expected Commission, Expected Close Date, and Close Likelihood to support pipeline forecasting.

  • Enter Expected Commission (gross expected commission value)
  • Set Expected close date (when you expect the deal to close)
  • Choose Close likelihoodRemotePossibleLikelyDefinite

Tip: Keep these realistic and review them regularly, as small updates materially improve your forecast accuracy.
  • Review all details
  • Tap Create (top right)
  • The appraisal is added to your pipeline and is now available for conversion to a listing later.

The completed appraisal will appear on the app. Tap on the menu (top right) to edit or create another appraisal.
