About data export permissions
If you are concerned about who can export data from your system, you can manage access through Access Control Levels (ACLs).
Export permissions can be assigned to specific roles, allowing only authorised staff to export records such as contacts and other system data.
In addition to export permissions, Box+Dice also includes permissions for opening the Library with more than 500 records selected, which can be used to generate bulk reports.
Manage export permissions
To configure export permissions:
- Go to: Settings > General > Access
- Select the Global Permissions module
- Select the Export Data privilege
- Review the roles listed under the Roles section
To remove access from a role, hover over the role name and click the remove icon that appears
To grant access to another role, click the + button and add the required role
Use consultant groups for additional restrictions
If you want to restrict export access to specific staff members rather than an entire role, you can use Consultant Groups.
After creating a consultant group, add the group under the Groups section within the Global Permissions > Export Data settings.
