About additional permissions
Changing a staff member’s access level grants access to additional system features, but in some cases, you may want to provide extra permissions without modifying their role.
Consultant groups allow you to assign permissions independently of access levels, giving you greater flexibility when managing user access.
Before assigning permissions, staff members must be added to a consultant group.
Assign additional permissions
To assign permissions:
- Go to: Settings > General > Access
- Select the module you want to update permissions for
- Select the access control level (ACL) you want to assign
- Click the + button next to Groups
- Search for the consultant group and click Add
Once added, staff in the consultant group will have access to the selected permission, even if their assigned access level would not normally allow it.
