About consultant groups

Consultant groups are used to organise staff into teams and control how they collaborate within the CRM.

They allow:

  • Staff to view each other’s contacts when qualification rules are enabled
  • Access permissions to be assigned independently of system access levels
  • Managers to view combined team statistics on the dashboard

A consultant group can include multiple staff members, and a staff member can belong to multiple consultant groups.

Set up consultant groups

To set up consultant groups:

  • Go to: Settings > General > Consultant Groups > + Add group
  • Enter the group name and click Save
  • Click + Add member and enter staff names
  • Click Add to confirm

Contact sharing

If Contact Qualification is enabled, contacts can be shared within a consultant group.

  • Tick Share contacts with members of this group to enable sharing

  • Each user must enable this option individually for full sharing across the group

Access permissions

Consultant groups allow you to grant access permissions beyond standard system roles.

For example, you can create a group such as Portal Loading Access and assign it to a specific permission.

  • Go to Settings > General > Access
  • Select the relevant module (for example, Portal loading)
  • Click Edit under privileges
  • Add the consultant group under Groups

Staff in the consultant group will receive access to the selected permission, even if their role is not included in the roles list. You can also manage permissions entirely through consultant groups if required.

Dashboard team statistics

Manager-level users and above can view combined statistics for consultant group members.

Use the entity selector in the top-right of the dashboard to switch views and display aggregated performance for a consultant group.

Note: Consultant groups are most effective when used alongside contact qualification and sharing settings.
