This process helps you accurately record income from trust funds and link payments directly to their corresponding invoices.
Allocate a sales receipt
If you want to automatically allocate a sales receipt, you need to add a trust payment against the relevant invoice.
To add a trust payment:
- Go to: Sales > Listings
- Select the relevant listing
- Click the Accounting tab
- Click Add
- Select Add Trust Payment
- Select the relevant ledger (e.g., Advertising)
- Select the Payment method
- Enter a Description of the payment
- Enter the Date of payment
- Select the Invoice you want to apply the trust payment to
- Click Save to complete the process
Once the payment is saved, the system automatically generates a sales receipt and applies it to the selected invoice.
You can view the sales receipt under the Customer Statement or Listing Accounting Statement screens.
The transaction will appear with the ‘Credit’ description. This confirms that the trust payment has been successfully allocated.
