Overview

Sometimes a sale is cancelled or the wrong purchaser is added to a listing. Even after correcting the listing, the incorrect purchaser may still appear in the ledger or associated receipts.
You can update the purchaser's details in the ledger either directly from the ledger or the property listing.

Update from the ledger

You can update the purchaser’s name when you're navigating from the main Accounting menu.

To update purchaser’s name from the ledger:

  • Go to: Accounting > Trust > Ledger
  • Select the relevant property ledger
  • Click Edit

This will open the Edit Ledger window.

  • Click the button next to the incorrect purchaser’s name

  • Search and Select the correct Purchaser

  • Click Save

The ledger will now display the correct property, vendor, and purchaser details.

Update from the property listing

You can also correct the purchaser’s details directly from the listing associated with the ledger.

To update purchaser’s name from the property listing:

  • Go to: Sales > Listings
  • Select the relevant property listing.
  • Click Accounting > Trust
  • Click the Ledger name to open it

  • Click Edit

This will open the Edit Ledger window.

  • Click the button next to the incorrect purchaser’s name
  • Search and Select the correct Purchaser
  • Click Save

Both methods achieve the same outcome — choose the one most convenient for your workflow.
