Overview
Reconciliation and End-of-Month (EOM) Rollover are essential processes in trust accounting. Reconciliation ensures your trust account matches your bank statement, while End of Month Rollover compiles daily reconciliations into a monthly summary.
Sometimes, errors are discovered after these processes are completed. That’s where Unreconcile and Unrollover come in — they allow you to reverse these actions, restore editable records, and correct mistakes.
Unreconcile or unrollover a period
To unreconcile past reconciliations or rollovers:
- Go to: Accounting > Trust > Reconciliation
- Click Archives
- In the dropdown to Select a date under Reconciliations or Rollovers
- Click the Unreconcile button to undo a reconciliation
This restores all transactions from that reconciliation so they can be reconciled again.
- Or click the Unrollover button to undo an End of Month rollover
This reopens the selected period and all subsequent ones for editing and reconciliation
