About listing images and floor plans

Listing images and floor plans are key visual elements used to present properties in Box+Dice and across external advertising platforms.

They allow you to showcase property features, improve listing quality, and ensure consistent presentation across portals such as realestate.com.au and Domain.

Upload images and floor plans

To upload images and floor plans directly to a listing:

  • Go to: Sales > Listings
  • Open the Listing record
  • Click + Add Photos
  • Drag and drop files into the relevant sections, or:
    • Click + New photo to upload images
    • Click + New floorplan to upload floor plans

Manage listing images

After uploading, you can organise and manage your images as needed.

  • Reorder images - Click and drag an image to a new position
  • Delete images - Select images individually or click Select all, then click Delete
  • Download images - Select images individually or click Select all, then click Download
Note: If your office publishes listings to external websites, go to Advertising and re-upload the listing to ensure updated images are sent to those platforms.

Understand image limits and publishing

Box+Dice applies limits to the number of images and floor plans per listing.

  • Up to 100 listing images
  • Up to 2 floor plans
Note: Recommended image size for listing and property images is landscape 4:3 format. For Box+Dice uploads, each image must be under 5MB or resized before uploading.

Image limits vary depending on the data feed:

  • REAXML - First 35 images
  • Domain, Trade Me, RENZ - Up to 100 images
  • Other feeds - Up to 26 images

Supported image types

Ensure images are saved in supported formats before uploading.

Accepted formats:

  • JPG
  • GIF
  • PNG

Not accepted:

  • TIF
  • BMP
  • PDF

PNG:

  • PNG is also supported for Library templates and email campaigns
Note: If you receive an invalid file type error, ensure the file is saved with the correct extension (e.g. .jpg, .gif, .png).

Fix image orientation issues

Sometimes images may appear rotated incorrectly after uploading.

This is usually caused by device-based orientation data stored in the image file, which may not display correctly in preview mode.

To fix this issue:

  • Delete the affected images from Box+Dice
  • Open the original image in photo-editing software
  • Select Save a copy or Export
  • Save as a new JPG file
  • Upload the new file to Box+Dice
