About contact filters
What this feature does
Contact Filters help you narrow your Contacts list to the exact people you need—by activity, permissions, location, tags, matching criteria, and more. You can save, favourite, and share filters with your Office Group, and quickly apply them from the Contacts screen or Dashboard.
Why it matters
Well‑targeted filters drive faster follow‑up, cleaner data, and more innovative campaigns. Keep frequently used filters as favourites for one‑click access.
Access contact filters
Open the Contacts screen to build or apply filters. Saved Filters (Default, your own, or shared) are always available via Saved Filters on the Contacts screen.
Saved Filters (Default, your own, or Shared) are always available via Saved Filters on the Contacts screen.

- In the second column, choose the condition (e.g., is, is not, contains, is empty)
- In the third column, select value(s)
- (Optional) Add additional filter items to refine further
- Click Apply to preview results
After creating your filter, you can save it.

- Click Save
The Save Filter Modal will appear where you can:
- Name your filter clearly (e.g., Owners-No Contact This Year-Farm Area)
- Choose Privacy: Private (Just Me) or Share with everyone in your office group.
- (Optional) Click the star icon to make it a Favourite
- Click Save
Saved Filters screen actions
To saved filters:
- Go to: Contacts > Click Saved Filters
- Click the ellipsis (…) for:
- Edit name and visibility
- Favourite/Unfavourite
- Delete (subject to permission)
Filter types and permissions
- Default Filters - Provided by the system; cannot be edited. You can Apply, modify, Save As, and Favourite
- Saved Filter (yours) - Full control: edit, delete, share, favourite
- Shared Filter (from a colleague) - Cannot edit original, but can Apply, modify, Save As, and Favourite
Reset, clear, and troubleshoot filters
Reset vs Clear filters
- Reset - Returns all viewing options (including layout choices) to default
- Clear filters - removes only the filter criteria, leaving view settings as‑is
Note: Conflicting permissions (e.g., Email permission vs Email Blast Permission) can zero out results; test each field independently first.
