About Click to Call
Click to Call lets you call contacts directly from Box+Dice using a third-party Voice Over Internet Protocol (VOIP) service, such as Skype. This feature helps businesses track and analyze call metrics for better communication insights.
Where to find Click to Call
You’ll see a Phone icon next to a contact’s mobile number in:
- The Contacts listing screen
- The Contact profile
Set up VOIP for Click to Call
Before making calls from the web app, you need to install and configure a VOIP service.
To Install and Configure VOIP:
- Install a VOIP platform (e.g., Skype, Microsoft Teams) on your desktop
- Set VOIP as your default calling app:
- On Windows PC:
- Go to: Settings > Default Apps > Choose the VoIP app
- Under TEL, click Choose a default (e.g., Skype, Microsoft Teams)
Tip: If you don't have a VoIP app, search the internet for one and follow the instructions above to set it up.
Make a Call from Box+Dice
Once VOIP is set up:
- Open the Contact you want to call
- Click the green phone icon next to their mobile number
- Select your VOIP service under Make a call from
- The contact’s number will open in your VOIP app, ready to call
Share calls between devices (Android only)
You can select a phone number on your computer and make a call from your Android device.
Requirements
- All devices must be signed in and synced to Chrome using the same Google account
- On your computer, open Chrome
- Click a phone number link
- In the dialog, select the device you want to use
- On your device, tap the notification and make the call
Tip: Ensure your VOIP app is installed and active on the device you choose.
