About Google Analytics

Create your Google Analytics account

Set up your Google Analytics account to begin using Google’s tracking and reporting tools.

To create a Google analytics account:

• Visit https://analytics.google.com/analytics
• Click Start measuring
• Follow the prompts to create your account

Configure your account properties

Properties determine how data is collected, processed, and displayed in your reports.

To set up account properties:

• Continue through the setup prompts after creating your account
• Configure account properties
• Review Google’s documentation for recommended structure and setup guides

Generate your tracking code

Your tracking code allows Google Analytics to capture data from your website.

Once your registration is complete, you will be provided with a tracking code. This needs to be added to your website to enable collection of usage data by your Analytics account.
