About URL aliases

URL aliases allow you to create short, readable links that redirect to longer or more complex pages on your GRAB website. This is helpful when sharing property links in emails, marketing material, or client communication. URL redirections ensure your original page remains unchanged while providing a cleaner link option for users.

Create a new URL alias

To add and manage alias links:

  • Go to: Settings > Grab Website
  • If you manage multiple sites, select the correct website from the top‑right dropdown
  • Click Contents
  • Select Redirections

Each redirection contains two parts: The alias URL you want to share and the actual website URL you want visitors to land on.

  • In the left field, enter the alias or desired URL you want to create
  • In the right field, enter the actual URL of the property or page on your website

For example, if you wanted to create 'mywebsite.com.au/123-High-Street' to direct to that listing on the website, you would enter this as follows:

Important: URL aliases support lower‑case letters, digits, full stops, underscores, and hyphens. Uppercase letters are not supported and may prevent the redirect from working.
