About Mentions

Mentions make collaboration faster by notifying a teammate directly in the app. When you add @TheirName in a contact note, the system creates a mention notification that appears in the Notification Centre under Mentions and All.

Mention someone in a contact note

To mention the right person in a note:

  • Go to: Contacts
  • Open the relevant Contact
  • Locate the Notes section
  • Enter @ followed by the person’s name to mention them
  • Select the correct user from the suggestions list
  • Select a Note type from the dropdown (e.g. Phone, Email, SMS, Letter, Task, Web enquiry, Others)
  •  Tick Important note if you want the note to be highlighted as important (Optional)
  • Select Add a note to save

Once you save the note, it is added to the contact record immediately, and the user you mentioned receives a Mention notification. They can open this notification to navigate directly to the note, and once they view it, the notification is automatically marked as read.

Find and action your mentions

To find and action your mentions:

  • Click the Notifications icon
  • Click Unread to focus on new mentions (Optional)
  • Click the Mentions tab or stay on All to see everything
  • Select the notification to go to the note and respond

When you open a Mention notification, you are taken directly to the related note on the contact record. The notification is automatically marked as Read, reducing your unread count in the Notifications panel. Once you’ve reviewed the note, you can respond, add a follow‑up note, or take any relevant action from the contact’s timeline.
