About owner of residential property
The owner of residential property setting allows you to automatically create a relationship between a contact and their residential address.
This helps:
- Ensure ownership information is captured consistently
- Reduce manual data entry when creating contacts
- Improve data accuracy across contact and property records
This setting can be enabled from Settings > CRM > Owner of Residential Property.
How the owner relationship works
When this setting is enabled, a checkbox is automatically selected when creating a new contact. This indicates that the contact owns their residential property.
When the setting is disabled, the ownership checkbox is not selected by default, and the relationship must be applied manually if required.
Note: This setting only affects new contact creation and determines whether the ownership relationship is applied automatically.
