About archiving appraisals
Archiving an appraisal in Box+Dice removes it from the active pipeline while preserving its history. The appraisal record remains visible in the property’s Transactions panel and continues to contribute to reporting across the sales lifecycle.
This is useful when an appraisal is no longer proceeding but needs to be retained for audit purposes, reporting, or future reference.
Before you start
Consider the following before archiving an appraisal:
- Confirm the property - Access the appraisal from the property’s Transactions > Appraisal panel
- Choose the correct action - Use archive to retain history. Only delete an appraisal if you need to permanently remove the record
- Check related items - Appointments, emails, SMS, and documents linked to the appraisal are separate features and will not be removed.
Archive an appraisal from a property
To archive an appraisal:
- Go to Properties
- Search for the property and open its profile
- In the Transactions panel, select the appraisal
- Click Archive below the appraisal
- Select a cancellation reason from the dropdown
- Click Cancel Appraisal to confirm
Archived appraisals remain visible in the Transactions panel (for example, “Appraisal cancelled” with a date) and continue to support reporting.
