About deleting appraisals
Deleting is a permanent action that removes the appraisal record from the property and pipeline. Use it carefully; often archiving or cancelling better maintains your transaction history while reflecting that the opportunity is no longer active. Appraisals form part of the listing journey and the broader sales lifecycle (Listing Management). Preserving history helps downstream reporting and vendor communications.
Before you start
A short checklist:
- Confirm the Property - You’ll delete from the property’s Transactions > Appraisal panel
- Choose the right action - If you need auditability, prefer archive over delete
- Calendar and communications - If an appointment or merge (letters/emails/SMS) was tied to this appraisal, deleting this record ends that appraisal record. Consider archiving first if you need comms history
