About editing appraisals

Editing appraisals helps you keep your pipeline and forecasts accurate as details change (e.g., expected commission, close date, and likelihood).

Key points:

  • Appraisals feed your sales pipeline and forecasting; keep them up to date
  • Once an appraisal is converted to a listing, the transaction continues in the Sales Listings area; at that point, appraisal‑level fields are typically locked because the relationship is now vendor/listing‑based

Edit allowed details (before a listing is created)

Use filters to get to the right record quickly.

To edit appraisal details:

  • In the left sidebar, go to: Sales > Appraisals
  • Use the search bar or the filters to narrow results. E.g., Appraisal Status (Current, Listed, Cancelled), Appraisal Consultant, and Pipeline Filters (Overdue, Current Month)

  • In the results list, click the pencil (edit) icon next to the property address to open the appraisal editor
  • In the Appraisal editor, review and update fields such as:
    • Expected commission
    • Expected close date
    • Close likelihood (Remote / Possible / Likely / Definite)
    • Source, consultant(s), office, appointment details, and price range (depending on your agency’s configuration)

  • Click Save to apply changes
Note: Keeping close dates and likelihood accurate improves your pipeline and forecast reporting.

When editing is locked (after conversion to a listing)

If the Appraisal has already been listed, appraisal‑level editing is disabled because the contact–property relationship has been closed and converted to a vendor/listing relationship. Continue your work in the Sales Listings area (e.g., inspections, vendor reports, portal loading, and progressing the transaction).
