Learn how to set up and customise e-alerts so contacts automatically receive daily property updates based on their saved matching criteria.
This article covers:
Overview
E-alerts automatically email matched property listings to contacts each day, ensuring they stay informed about new opportunities that meet their criteria.
They work alongside Matching Criteria and Listing Attributes, so configuring these correctly ensures your E-Alerts are accurate and effective.
Configure e-alerts in settings
To set up e-alerts for your database:
- Go to: Settings > Automations > E-Alerts Setup
- Toggle Enabled to activate e-alerts system-wide
- Select a default Sender
If no sender is set for a contact, emails will be sent from this user.
- Enter the default email Subject line for all e-alerts
- Select your preferred Template
Box+Dice provides a default e-alert template that includes standard wording and your company logo pulled from Company Settings.
- Enable Limit to Office Group (recommended for multi-office databases)
This restricts e-alerts to listings from your own office group.
Important: For users in multi-office databases, e-alerts are configured at both the database and contact levels. Listings are pulled at the database level, meaning contacts may receive listings from other offices if not properly configured.
To prevent this:
- Restrict e-alerts to your office group so only listings from your own offices are sent
- Fully configure each contact’s Matching Criteria to ensure relevant and accurate alerts
If Limit to Office group is enabled:
- Tick Set default sender per office group
- Select default sender per office group
- Click Save to apply changes
Once e-alerts are configured, you must enable them for each contact individually.
