Version 8.5 of the Box and Dice web app has been released to Beta clients.  

You can check your version below the 'Help Centre' icon in the bottom left corner of your Box and Dice System.

Things We’ve Made

Board views for both Sales and Rental Appraisals - 'Expected Close Month' and 'Likelihood'

We've created a new 'Appraisal Board View', allowing agents to manage both rental and sales appraisal listings more visually, similar to a 'Pipeline' or 'Trello' board in other software.
In the Board view you’ll see your appraisals grouped by Expected Close Month or by Likelihood (Definite, Remote etc) for easy tracking.

New Inspection view for Sales Listings and Rental Listings search screens 

Inspections in B+D are getting a refresh, to a clean and clear interface that aligns with our Sales listings screen views. These new Inspections screens will make it easier for users to share the inspections they've just added to portals like Domain and REA. Rentals will also be getting this new view as well as Sales, which will be a big step up for those who use B+D for rental portal loading.

 

Data Theft Protections

As an Administrator or Director, you can now apply a Data Theft restriction to any agent who is displaying signs of suspicious behavior or preparing to leave the business. This feature allows you to:

  • Limit the number of results displayed on the Contact and Appraisal search screens
  • Restrict the total number of records that can be viewed on those screens

This helps prevent agents from copying and pasting and/or doing screenshots and saving large volumes of data outside the Box+Dice. Importantly, the agent will still be able to search and open individual contact or appraisal records, so they can continue performing their role with minimal disruption—while keeping the agency's data secure.

Data Restrictions can be applied to a Role or User and can be applied via Settings > CRM > Data Restriction. In the below example, Data Restrictions have been applied to user 'John Agent' allowing him to view a maximum of 25 records per page on the Contact Search screen and Appraisal Search screen and a maximum of 50 records in total.

ACL to add new Users

We've created a new "Add New Staff" ACL, allowing you to control which members of your team are authorised to create new users, independent of the 'Edit Staff Details' ACL that formerly managed this access.

Custom Fields for Listings

We've introduced a new feature: Custom Fields for Sales Listings. Our team can now add the following types of custom listing fields per Office Group.

  • Free text
  • True/False Toggle
  • Drop down menu of every Consultant in your office group
  • Drop down menu of pre-defined options

These fields will be visible in a new "Custom Fields" section within the 'Edit Listing' modal. Values entered into these custom fields will be filterable on our Sales Listing search screen, and included as an attribute within our GraphQL API.

We will be expanding on this feature in coming releases. Please let our Support team know if you'd like custom fields inserted into your listings.

 

Things We’ve Improved

  • New 'Listing Solicitor' Contact Automations options. We've added 'Purchaser Solicitor' and 'Vendor Solicitor' as recipient options into our Contact Automations feature, so that you can now automatically notify solicitors when a milestone is reached in a listing's journey. 

  • Filter for Uploaded files types. Users can now filter on our Sales and Rental listing search screens for listings which have a particular file uploaded, or find listings without that file. For example you can now find all your current listings which are missing a Statement of Information file:



  • Reason to Call Notification on the dashboard

    We’ve brought the popular ‘Reason to Call’ notifications—first introduced in the Contact Screen Board view—directly to your dashboard.

    These notifications highlight key events or actions taken by your Contacts that could be a great opportunity to engage or re-engage with them, especially in the context of prospecting.

    A ‘Reason to Call’ notification will appear on your dashboard for any Contacts assigned the ‘My Contact’ category with you set as the Category Consultant. An administrator can configure the triggers for these notifications via Settings > General > Reason to Call Notification.

  • Display Withdrawn Reason column in Sales Listing search. We've added a new column option into our Sales Listing search screen, 'Withdrawn Reason', allowing users to view the reason a listing was cancelled from within the Table view. 
  • Icon to show/hide buyers notes from Vendors. We've added new icons next to each buyer note, displaying to users if that note has been flagged as 'Hide from Owner' or 'Show to Owner'. Authorised users can also click this icon to toggle the note to be hidden/shown.


  • Integration with RealTimeAgent. RTA can now populate the File Type (ie. Listing Authority), and the description of any file they upload into B+D via our API, so that your user's don't need to do this manually.
  • New tags when managing agent Commission statements. We've added new “Commission Pending” and “Commission Payable” tags, so that Payroll users can see which commission line items are included/excluded from the 'Commission Payable' section of the 'Staff Commission Detailed'  report.
