Things We've Made
Win in a Buyer's market with Active Buyers - Automatically Identified Contacts Showing Real Buyer Intent Right Now
Built for: Agents, Managers, Agency admins
We know finding the right buyers is critical to winning listings and selling properties. That’s why we’ve built our smart Active Buyers, to help agents easily identify, understand, and engage with contacts who are actively looking for their next property.
When a contact becomes an Active Buyer, through actions such as enquiring about listings, attending your inspections and requesting contracts, Box+Dice will automatically create a new type of matching criteria based on the listing details associated with their buyer activity.
Active Buyer details are used for internal matching only and will not trigger automated eAlerts. eAlerts can only be sent from matching criteria created by an agent or other consultant.
Identifying Active Buyers
Active Buyer status is displayed on the contact record in the left-hand panel, making it easy to identify contacts who are currently showing buyer activity.
Using Active Buyers
Within the existing Matched Contacts modal on a Property, Appraisal, or Listing, you can now view contacts matched by their automatically generated Active Buyer status as well as their existing Matching Criteria. This helps agents identify contacts already in their database who are actively looking for properties similar to the one they have just listed.
Active Buyer data can be used to:
- Support prospecting conversations by demonstrating buyer demand in a market and specifically, the strength of your database, from the 'Matching contacts' modal or on the Lead Flow Call Sheet.
- Present buyer interest during vendor appraisal presentations, using the Matched Buyers report, which shows redacted Buyer names and there buyer actions - showing the potential vendor real data to support your pitch
- Promote new listings to relevant active buyers and identify new opportunities for listings that have not yet sold
If a contact should not be included in automatically generated Active Buyer matching, users can turn off automated matching criteria for that contact from within the 'Edit Contact' modal. When this is turned off, the Active Buyer section will no longer appear for that contact and they will not be included in system-generated Active Buyer statistics.
A new settings page (Settings > General > Active Buyer Matching) allows you to configure the number of days buyer activity remains relevant for a contact to be considered an Active Buyer.

Automate Your Work with the New Automations Module - Auto Alerts Rebuilt with Multi-Action Workflows
Built for: Agency admins, Sales admins, Power users
Many agencies use automations to keep important work moving, such as notifying the right person when something needs attention, creating follow-up tasks, or sending templated messages when key events happen.
In this release, we are replacing the old Auto Alerts with a new multi-step Automations engine and a visual drag-and-drop builder, making it easier to manage the automated alerts, tasks, emails and SMS workflows your agency already relies on.
The biggest change is that a single trigger can now run multiple actions. For example, one event can notify an internal team member, create a task, and send a templated email or SMS without needing separate rules across different automation screens.
The new Automations module supports wait steps, so actions can happen over days or weeks rather than all at once. Branching is available too, allowing an automation to follow an “if yes, then” or “if no, then” path depending on whether a condition is met.
To make automation management easier, Automations are now shown in one combined list on a single settings page. Authorised users can mark automations as active or inactive, duplicate an existing automation to use as a starting point, and review improved system log information to help with troubleshooting.

New 'Apply Task Workflow' Automation action
Built for: Agency admins, Sales admins, Compliance officers

Monitor Automations with New Automation Stats
Built for: Agency admins, Power users
To support the move from the old Auto Alerts to the new Automations, we've included a Stats dashboard. This shows daily counts across the last 90 days, comparing activity from old Auto Alerts and Contact Automations with activity from new Automations. This is especially useful for agencies that want to monitor the frequency of automated actions for important operational, compliance, or follow-up workflows.

Clean-up Matching Criteria in Bulk
Built for: Agency admins, Power users
Matching criteria do not expire automatically, which can leave databases with old criteria that no longer reflect what contacts are actively looking for. This can inflate matched buyer numbers and reduce confidence in buyer matching.
The new Criteria Clean-up screen lets authorised users search matching criteria records directly, filter the results, select criteria to remove, and delete them in bulk. Results can include both regular matching criteria and system-generated Active Buyer criteria, giving agencies more control over the criteria used in buyer matching. This helps keep buyer matching cleaner and more reliable, especially when agents are preparing to promote a listing before it reaches the portals.
Bulk delete access is controlled by the 'Access > Criteria Clean-up > Bulk delete criteria' permission, so agencies can choose which users are trusted to perform criteria clean-up actions.

Shared Email Designer templates and editing controls
Built for: Marketing teams, Agency admins
After creating an Email Designer template, you can now share it with your team, making it easier to maintain consistent branding and streamline email creation across your network. You can also control how shared templates can be edited, ensuring the design, layout, and branding remain consistent when the templates are used.
Email Designer templates can be shared with a specific Office or made available to all Offices, allowing permitted users to create branded templates once and make them available for others to use.
Template Editing Controls
A shared template can be configured as restricted, allowing users to:
- Edit text content
- Select the properties or listings displayed in the email
However, restricted users cannot:
- Add or remove email elements
- Change the layout
- Modify styling or branding elements like fonts and colours
These controls help ensure brand guidelines are maintained while still giving users the flexibility to personalise emails for their campaigns. A new ACL is available so agencies can control which roles are allowed to share Email Designer templates.
Things We've Improved
-
Smarter date entry. Many of our Date fields are now quicker to fill in. Instead of picking from the calendar or typing an exact date, users can type simple shortcuts such as “in 10 days”, “in 1 year”, or “2 weeks ago”, and Box+Dice will calculate and select the correct date automatically.
This is especially useful when setting task follow-up dates that do not fit standard options, such as following up in 4 or 8 months.
-
Organisation type. To help better identify non-person contact entities, we’ve added a new Organisation Type field to company Contacts, with six options: Company, Trust, Estate, Charity, Society and Other. We've also introduced new Organisation Type filter into the Contact Search screen.
-
Better control over staff profile editing. A new 'Edit own profile' permission has been added so that a user who does not have permission to edit their own profile can open the Edit Staff Details modal from their own staff profile but cannot save any changes. This helps agencies prevent unauthorised staff profile changes while still allowing the right users to manage their own details, their office’s staff, or staff across all offices.
-
Improvements to Favourite filters. Favourite filters now appear in an expandable section in the filter sidebar, giving power users a faster way to keep an eye on saved filter counts. When the section is expanded, you can drag and drop each favourite filter into your preferred sequence. Each filter also shows its result count, making it easier to notice when numbers change and quickly drill into the records behind the movement.
This gives teams better visibility of the saved searches they monitor throughout the day, while still only loading the counts when the section is opened.
-
Easier copying of buyer lead contact details and property addresses. You can now copy key details with less friction. When viewing a property, listing, appraisal or rental, hover over the address at the top of the screen to reveal a copy icon. You can also hover over a buyer lead’s email or mobile to copy it to your clipboard.
-
Easier scrolling on search screens. More of our search screens now keep column headers and scrollbars visible while you move through results. This makes wide tables easier to navigate, especially when reviewing records with lots of columns.
