6.0 Release Notes

Version 6.0 of the Box and Dice web app has been released to all clients.  

You can check your version below the 'Help Centre' icon in the bottom left corner of your Box and Dice System.

Things We’ve Made

  • Properties Search screen - the Properties Search screen has been completely rebuilt so that the searches perform much faster and the design is consistent with the other Search screens. In some cases, particularly for large databases, search results will be returned up to 20x faster. We have also changed the design by removing the check box filters and replacing them with 'Quick filters' to allow you to run commonly used searches quickly. Additionally we have added the ability to build a filter yourself (and save it) to give you more flexibility in finding the properties you are searching for.
    The search works the same way as it previously did, returning the latest 'transaction'. However if you are searching specifically for a Appraisal or Sales Listing, we recommend navigating to those screens.

  • Contact, Appraisal, Sales Listing and Rental screens - for each of these screens we have added useful 'Quick filters' to easily run commonly used filters and return the results you are looking for. You can still create and save your own filter, but we have looked at the most used filters and made them quick and easy to apply. In the example below on the Contacts screen, all Contacts that have a Buyer category assigned and the Category Consultant is me, have been returned with just 3 clicks.
    As you use these quick filters you will notice that they are built on screen and can be edited or amended to narrow down the results you want.

  • Basic and Table view - we have added a Basic and Table view on all Search screens so that you can choose how you prefer your data to be presented back to you.

  • Across all Search screens we have added the ability to apply an 'Or' condition when building a filter. This gives you more power and flexibility to find the Contacts, Appraisals, Listings or Properties you are interested in. The 'Or' condition could be used for many different use cases but in the example below it has been used to identify Contacts who have an activity type of 'Buyer In' OR have the category 'Buyer'.

  • Map search - we have reintroduced the Map search back onto the Contact Search screen as well as adding it to the Rental, Appraisal and Sales Listing Search screens. Click on the 'Show Map' button and apply any Quick Filter or build your own to see your results displayed across Google Maps. On the Contact search screen you can even toggle to see Residential and Owned properties.

  • Orphan Contacts 12 months filter - we have created a new Saved Filter, making use of the 'Or' condition we introduced, to help identify Contacts in your database that you have likely not had contact with for more than 12 months. From the Contacts screen click on your 'Saved Filters' and select 'Orphan Contacts 12 months'. This has been created so you can quickly find Contacts in your database you may want to reach out to and re-engage with. As we improve the Prospecting function in Box and Dice, in future you will be able to add filter results, such as this one, directly into your Prospecting Lists. More on that to come later in the year.

  • New filters - we have created some new filters on the Contact screen:
    • Relationships - this filter is used to identify Contacts who have (or do not have) a relationship set. This could be used in conjunction with the Last Contact filter if you are looking to clean up your database and don't want to delete any Contact that is in a relationship with another Contact even if they had not been contacted recently themselves.
    • Criteria created/updated - this can be used to identify Contacts that have not had their Matching Criteria updated for a specified period of time.
    • Activity type sub filters - under the Activity Type filter we have created the below sub filter options to help you identify Contacts which own properties which include specified attributes. For example you could use this filter to find all Contacts who own a 3 bedroom property in Brunswick.
