How it works
Making a payment from one office's trust account to another involves entering the transaction details and selecting the correct account type. This process ensures funds are transferred accurately between trust accounts.
To make a payment to another office's trust account:
- Go to: Sales > Listing
- Click Accounting > Statement or Trust
- Click Add Trust Payment
The New Payment screen will appear. The Account and Ledger Name will be pre-populated from the ledger details. The Date will also default to today's date, but this can be edited.
- Select the Payment Method from the dropdown menu
- Select EFT as the payment method
- Change the Account Type to Other Account
- Add the other office’s account details
- Select a Description from the dropdown menu
- Enter the amount to be paid
- Select the Issued by staff member
By default, it will log in the user selected.
- Click Save
Should you wish to make this an ABA payment, follow the standard procedure for making an ABA payment.
