Summary
Learn how to correct an incorrect Property address and update it across all related records.
This article covers:
How it works
Address updates behave differently depending on where they are made. Property address edits update all linked records, while Contact address changes only affect the selected Contact.
Update a property address
When the property address is incorrect, such as spelling errors or missing details, and needs to be corrected everywhere it appears, you can update the property address.
To correct a property address:
- Go to: Properties
- Search and open the relevant property
- Select Edit at the top-right corner
- Update the address fields as required
- Click Save
Note: Updating a Property address automatically updates all associated areas, including Property, Listings, Contacts, Trust, and Commissions.
Update a contact’s residential or postal address
When only the Contact’s personal address needs to change, without modifying the Property record, you can update the contact address.
To update a contact’s address:
- Go to: Contacts
- Search and open the relevant contact
- Click Edit at the top-right corner
- Click the down arrow to expand the Addresses section
- Select the type of address to update:
-
Residential address:
- Click Delete Address next to the Residential address
- Then search for or add the new address
-
Postal address:
- Untick Same as Residential, if applicable
- Search for or add the new Postal address
- Click Save
Updating a Contact’s address does not overwrite the original Property address.
