Summary
Learn how undisclosed prices are handled during Media Vendor syncs and when sale prices are automatically sent from Box+Dice.
This article covers:
Overview
When syncing listings from Box+Dice to your Media Vendor, it’s important to understand how Price Undisclosed behaves.
Even if a listing is marked as undisclosed, certain details such as the sale price may still be sent depending on the listing status and sync activity.
How listing status affects price sync
The listing status determines whether the sale price is sent to your Media Vendor.
How it works:
- When a listing is marked as Price Undisclosed and the status in Box+Dice is Not Settled, the listing is still synced to your Media Vendor.
- The listing syncs as Current
- No sale price is sent
- Once a listing is marked as Settled in Box+Dice and synced again, the system will automatically send the sale price to the Media Vendor.
- The next sync will send the sale price
- This applies even if Price Undisclosed is selected
Understand Media Vendor override rules
Media Vendors do not honour Price Undisclosed or Undisclosed Address settings from Box+Dice as permanent controls.
Media Vendor behaviour:
- Ticking Price Undisclosed or Undisclosed Address in Box+Dice does not stop this data from being transferred
- Media Vendors rely on their own system settings to control what appears in advertising
If you do not want a price or address to appear publicly, you must update this directly in your Media Vendor’s system.
