Summary

Learn how to check task assignments and template setup when not all tasks are created from a Task Template.

This article covers:

Overview

When you apply a task template, all eligible tasks should be created automatically. If some tasks are missing, this is usually due to how the template is configured or how the contact is set up.

You can do some simple troubleshooting to help you identify the most common reasons tasks may not have been created.

Check whether the task template contains tasks.

If the Task Template doesn’t contain any tasks, nothing will be created when it’s applied.

To review task template:

  • Go to: Settings > CRM > Task Templates

  • Locate and double‑click the Task Template to open it!
  • Confirm that task items are listed in the template
  • If the template is empty, there are no tasks to apply

Check role‑based task assignments

Tasks assigned using a role type require a matching Consultant to exist for the Contact.

  • Open the Task Template and review how the task is assigned

If the assignee is set to a Role:

  • Confirm that the Contact has a Consultant filling that role

If a task is assigned to the Buyer Activity Consultant, the Contact must have an active Buyer Activity.
If no Buyer Activity exists, there is no Buyer Consultant, and the task will not be created.
