About linked actions in task templates

Linked Actions are a new enhancement that allows you to connect individual task items to specific system actions. When you work through tasks, the system presents a Linked Action button that takes them directly to the correct modal or page, such as uploading a file, adding an inspection, editing listing details, or updating pricing.

This helps you move through the sales listing journey faster, reduces navigation, and ensures tasks are completed correctly.

Add a task template item with a linked action

You can add Linked Actions to any task item where the Task Type is set to Task. Linked Actions are not available for Phone, Email, SMS, or Letter, as those already use predefined behaviours.

To add a link action:

  • Go to: Settings > CRM > Task Templates
  • Click + Add or select a template to edit
  • Select the Template Type (Company or Personal)
  • Select Related To (e.g., Sales Listing)
  • Enter a Template Name
  • Click Continue
  • Select a Group Color (Optional)
  • In the task template, select + Add
  • Select Consultant or Role as the assignment method
  • Set timing under Contact After (e.g., 0 days, –1 days)
  • Select Task Type to Task

The Linked Action dropdown will appear.

  • Select a Linked Action from the list
  • Enter a clear Description for the task
  • Click Save

Once saved, the Task Template item will display the chosen Linked Action.

  • Click Save

When you later encounter this task on a listing, a button appears beside it, such as Add File, Edit Listing, Add Inspection or Phone Note taking you straight to the correct workflow step.

Note: Linked actions are also available for Contact‑based tasks, making them ideal for nurture campaigns, follow‑ups, and ongoing contact engagement.
