About group blast email campaigns

A Group Blast is composed in much the same way as a standard email blast. The key difference is that all contact recipients included in the blast must be assigned a Unique Category.

The assigned category determines which consultant is associated with each contact and who will appear as the sender of the email.

For example, you may use a category called 'My Contact' to identify contacts that belong to participating consultants.

Note: Group Blasts rely on contact categories being assigned correctly. The category determines which consultant is used as the sender for each recipient.

Create a group blast

To create a Group Blast:

  • Generate a contact list by filtering contacts using Categories > is any of > My Contact or any Unique Category
  • Select all matching records
  • Navigate to Email Blast > New Group Blast
  • Create the blast content

The Group Blast screen displays Who is participating in this Group Email Blast? in the top-left corner.

  • Select Show consultants to displays the list of consultants the campaign is being created on behalf of

The sender will be one of the participating consultants based on the category assigned to each contact.

Consultant review and approval

Group Blasts include an approval workflow that allows participating consultants to review campaign content before it is sent.

  • Select Notify consultants via email
  • Click Publish & Notify Consultants
  • Each consultant receives an email containing a link to review the campaign
  • Consultants can review the content and any applicable feature property sections
  • When satisfied, they can click Submit for Approval

The Send Reminder Email button can be used to remind consultants who have not yet reviewed the campaign.

When a consultant submits their approval, the campaign composer is notified and the approval status is updated.

Send the group blast

Once all participating consultants have reviewed and approved the campaign, the approval indicators will display as complete.

When all approvals show a green thumbs-up, the Group Blast is ready to be sent.

The campaign is then delivered with each recipient receiving the email from the consultant associated with their assigned contact category.
