This article covers:
Overview
Videos cannot be embedded directly into email blast content, but, Box+Dice allows you to include video links and clickable images that mimic embedded video functionality.
Add a video link to your email blast
You can insert a clickable link to a video hosted online (such as YouTube or Vimeo).
To add a video link:
- Upload your email content or open your template
- Highlight the text or image you want to use as the link
- Select Insert Link
- Paste the video URL from your hosting platform
- Save your changes
Tip: Ensure the video is publicly accessible; otherwise, recipients may not be able to view it.
Embed video code using the Source option
If your email template supports HTML editing, you can embed hosted video code.
To embed video code:
- Open the email editor
- Select Source to switch to HTML mode
- Copy the embed code generated by YouTube, Vimeo, or your hosting service
- Paste the embed code into the HTML section
- Save and preview your email
Important: Many email clients (including Outlook, Gmail, and Apple Mail) may not display embedded video and will convert it to a fallback link. Always test before sending.
