Summary
Learn how to disable a web portal so listings are no longer uploaded to it from the Portal Uploader.
This article covers:
Overview
If your agency no longer advertises on a particular web portal, you can disable it in your system settings. Once disabled, the portal will no longer appear as an option in the Portal Uploader for new sales listing uploads.
Disabling a portal does not remove listings that have already been uploaded to that portal. Those listings will remain active unless removed directly through the portal or listing settings.
Disable a web portal
You can disable a portal by marking the associated portal supplier as inactive.
To disable a portal:
- Go to: Settings > Accounting > Items
- Locate the portal supplier you want to disable
- Open the supplier record
- Tick the Inactive checkbox
- Click Save
Once saved, the portal will no longer appear as an option in the Portal Uploader for sales listings.
Remove the portal from advertising packages
Some portals may be included in an advertising package. If this is the case, the portal must be removed from the package before it can be marked inactive.
To remove a portal from a package:
- Open the relevant advertising package in your settings
- Locate the portal item included in the package
- Remove the portal from the package configuration
- Save the changes
- Return to the portal supplier and mark it as Inactive
