Overview
Listings can be uploaded from Box+Dice to realestate.co.nz using the portal uploader and will be picked up by the API.
After a listing is pushed from Box+Dice, the portal automatically retrieves updates such as:
- Changes to portal status
- Open for inspections (OFIs)
- Media updates from a media vendor
- Listing numbers for property searches
To ensure the listing loads correctly, several pricing, address, and field requirements must be met.
Configure pricing for realestate.co.nz
The portal does not use the Display Price from Box+Dice. Instead, pricing is determined using a combination of:
- Pricing Code
- Portal Price
To ensure the correct price appears on the portal, you must enter the exact pricing code description in the File Reference field in Box+Dice.
Pricing code behaviour
| Pricing Code Description | Price Displayed |
| Fixed Price | None |
| POA | None |
| Negotiation | None |
| Offers | None |
| Auction | None |
| Tender | None |
| Deadline Treaty | None |
| Asking Price | Portal Price |
| Buyer Budget From | Portal Price |
| Buyer Budget Over | Portal Price |
| Buyer Interest From | Portal Price |
| Enquiries Over | Portal Price |
| Negotiable From | Portal Price |
| Offers Over | Portal Price |
For Pricing Code types where Portal Price is listed in the table, Portal Price must be populated with a whole positive number (no cents) - for example, 300000 or 750000. If the Portal Price is missing or incorrectly formatted, the portal feed may fail.
Manage car space limits
Realestate.co.nz has only 1 car space field (with a maximum value of 5).
In Box+Dice, car spaces are recorded across three fields:
- Garages
- Carports
- Open spaces
Box+Dice automatically sends the total number of car spaces to realestate.co.nz. Ensure the combined total of these fields does not exceed five, or the listing may not display correctly.
Listing numbers for property searches
realestate.co.nz supports user-defined listing numbers, which allow buyers to search for a property directly using a unique reference.
Listing number rules
- Must be unique
- Must not change during the life of the listing
- Must be alphanumeric
- Must be less than 11 characters
Note: Box+Dice only validates the format. Users are responsible for ensuring the listing number is unique.
To configure this in Box+Dice:
- Go to: Sales > Listings
- Click the pencil icon next to Sales Listing
- Scroll to Load & Web
- In the Web Reference field:
- Enter the listing number
- Click Save
