Overview

You can set up automatic SMS messaging in the Box+Dice web platform, ensuring that when buyers are checked in through the mobile app, they instantly receive your chosen message. This automation helps streamline communication and ensures consistent follow-up after every open home.

Note: Only users with access to Settings > Automations can enable or modify SMS automations.

Enable automatic SMS for buyer check-ins

To enable automatic SMS:

  • Go to: Settings > Automations > SMS
  • Select your Office from the list
  • Enable Automatically send a message when buyer is checked in to an inspection

Once enabled, additional configuration options will appear on the same screen, allowing you to set up how and when messages are sent.

You can also:

  • Enable Automatically send message when buyer registered via QR code (optional) - This sends an SMS when a buyer registers via QR code

  • Enable Send welcome SMS only once per listing - This prevents buyers from receiving the same welcome SMS multiple times when attending multiple inspections at the same property

When send SMS from sender name rather than number’ is disabled, messages are sent using the consultant’s mobile number (Sender ID) by default, but when enabled, you can add a sender name (up to 11 characters) to appear as the message sender instead.

Note: When using a sender name, all SMS will be sent using the same name entered in the sender name field. It won’t show the individual consultant’s name who checked in the buyer.

Sender and delivery options

As part of configuring your message, you can also control who the SMS is sent from and how delivery is handled:

  • Send SMS from - Select the sender of the message
  • If unavailable, use - Select a fallback sender if the chosen consultant does not have a mobile number

Once enabled, you can write your message and use merge fields to personalise it.

  • Use the merge fields to customise your message

Set message delay and sender options

You can also control when the SMS is sent.

  • In the Message Delay field, Select how long the Message will be delayed after the Buyer check-in 

This allows you to delay messages until an open home has finished.

  • Click Save

Once saved, automatic SMS messages will now send when buyers are checked in through the Box+Dice app, ensuring quick, consistent, and professional follow-up after every inspection.
