Summary
Learn how to send SMS messages using Library Templates, preview and edit the message before sending, and understand how marketing permissions affect delivery.
Library SMS Templates let you send consistent messages to contacts quickly. All SMS messages sent using templates are saved in the contact’s timeline history.
To send an SMS using a library template:
- Go to: Contacts
- Search and select the contact or contacts you want to send a message
- Click the SMS icon
- Toggle Use Library Template on
- Select an SMS Template from the dropdown list
- (Optional) Include related contacts, or generate separate SMS messages for each contact
- Click Preview to review the SMS
- Edit the message if needed (this won’t change the template)
- Click Send
Any edits only apply to the SMS being sent and won’t update the saved Library Template.
Important: SMS messages marked as Marketing won’t be sent to contacts who don’t have Marketing SMS permission enabled on their contact card.
