Summary

Learn how to remove headers and footers when printing documents from the library so URLs and page details are not included in printouts.

Headers and footers are browser‑generated elements that can appear when printing documents. These often include information such as the website URL, page title, or date.

Removing headers and footers ensures library printouts appear clean and consistent, especially when documents are shared with clients.

You can turn off headers and footers using the browser’s print settings.

To remove headers and footers:

  • Open the required document from the Library
  • Click Print on the Library screen

  • In the print preview, click More settings

  • Under Options, untick Headers and footers

  • Click Print

The document will print without the URL or other header and footer information.

Once disabled, the Headers and footers option remains turned off unless manually re‑enabled.

Note: This is a browser (Chrome) setting and applies to all documents printed from the browser, not just library printouts.
